Intro to part 5 and chapter 16
In the intro to part 5 it was basically talking about how the creation of a new kind of human society was established. This is what we know as the "modern" times. It all came into play with the the 3 different things that shaped it to be how it wanted to be. The three were the scientific, French, and Industrial revolutions that took place in western Europe. The big picture you can say is the eurocentrism that played the biggest part during this time.
Chapter 16 could be known as the Atlantic Revolutions, and Global echoes. What this means is that the American revolution was going on between 1775-1783. This was a hard time to try and get independence from the British. This is also where the Declaration of Independence came into play in 1776. The French revolution began in 1789 and lasted until 1815. The outcome of the French Revolution had a huge impact on feminine equality because they were active during this revolution. I think this is very important because I feel like if they didn't have a more active role in the revolution who knows where women equality would be now. This also has to tie in with women being able to vote in 1920.
